The first phase of the Government's RHI scheme ( launched in November 2011) will help commercial clients from businesses, industry and the public sector affordably heat their premises with efficient modern renewable carbon and energy saving technologies such as Solar thermal, Heat pumps (ground, air and water source) and Biomass boilers while domestic customers will be served by The Renewable Heat Premium Payment ( see panel below). In Autumn 2012 we anticipate domestic customers will also be served via the RHI to coincide with The Green Deal.
Please see The Department of Energy & Climate Change web page for more information on RHI by clicking here.

Renewable Heat Premium Payment
The Renewable Heat Premium Payment for Solar Thermal hot water heating
This is a UK Government initiative to reward people who are using renewable energy to heat their homes.
Under the scheme installing solar thermal panels will earn a £300 voucher for anybody eligible!
Note that you can get additional vouchers if you use Heat Pumps (air water or ground source) and biomass boiler.
The RHPP is time and budget delimited. It's first come, first served. Once the budget threshold for the scheme is reached the RHPP fund will be used up.

Energy from solar radiation is one of the best known forms of renewable energy. It’s free, usually plentiful in supply and available throughout the year – more in the summer months, less in winter. This energy is captured through the installation of solar panel technology.
Benefits
Solar thermal panels can provide up to 60% of a property’s daily hot water requirements throughout the year, though it is most efficient in the summer months.
Solar thermal systems are very low maintenance.
Solar power is renewable energy, panels can be flat or evacuated-tube type. They are an easy way of reducing your carbon footprint.
Sunlight is free energy, therefore helping to reduce hot water production costs. Panels will continue to function on cloudy days when sunlight is diffused.
It's much easier to get planning permission these days for solar panels. Your installation helps the County meet CO2 reduction targets.
Integration of Solar Panel arrays into DHW and with underfloor heating systems and heat pumps can easily be accommodated.
From plans, Logic Group can ensure the best choice of renewable energy system is specified to give you years of trouble-free use.
Watch this video from The Energy Saving Trust to see what people who have had solar thermal systems installed are saying about it.
